On Oct. 25th, Kathy Bee and past guests from her TV show "TOUCHING LIVES"

along with people of all ages from Downey & the surrounding communities celebrated

 

·        People who have made a difference in the lives of others!

  •        150 TOUCHING LIVES shows aired!

·        Our new video project “Touching Lives Planting Seeds”

 The celebration included Live performances by

  • Magi Avila

  • Eleanor Jones

  • Special Dancers

  • and Kathy Bee
  Guests speakers, Sports Celebrities and fans were also there to celebrate the day.  Rev. Glenn Koons, Pastor of the Living Hope Church, spoke about the importance of caring, and his TV ministry that spawned from TOUCHING LIVES.

Evelyn Bradley, Spoke about her crusade across the country, lending her help to support the Ten Commandments.

Faye & Henry Tirre announced their new TV production to help Senior Citizens.

Dorothy King, Council woman and up-coming Mayor of Bellflower gave her support.

The festive atmosphere, inspired others to help other people by using what ever gift that they were given.

Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of helping others, is sponsored by USA WEEKEND Magazine and its nearly 600 carrier newspapers. Make A Difference Day is held in partnership with the Points of Light Foundation. The 13th Make A Difference Day is Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003. Make A Difference Day supporter Paul Newman donates 100 percent of after-tax income from Newman's Own to educational and charitable causes.
